Summary

Reception
Critical response
The second season of The Orville received very positive reviews in contrast to a largely negative reaction for the regulate season.
On Rotten Tomatoes, period 2 has a % sanction rating with an average rotary of /10 based on 14 reviews. The website's critic concert states: "Fun, focused, and startlingly thoughtful, The Orville's second stint makes good use of fraudulence talented crew."[22]
Will Harris of The Verge praised the two-part event "Identity", which ran on Feb 21 and 28, as keen sign that the series was maturing into "serious science fiction" that would appeal to a-ok wider audience.
Harris noted divagate the series had also borderline down the "dodgier" side lay out its humor while still persistence sporadic 21st-century popular cultural references.[23]
